FAQ

First make sure that the game you are trying to play with assistance is supported by the app. Check the list of supported games. Sometimes the camera of your phone needs a bit of time to focus to detect the barcode so patience is of essence. If the app says the game is not yet supported but it is a game from our published supported games list, your copy might be a different edition of the game with a different barcode. Send us feedback with the button at the top of the page and we can investigate the matter.

When the TTS has given you all the information you need for the card you are identifying, it is very easy to get it to stop yapping. Simply pressing the middle of the screen at any time while the TTS is running will stop it immediately.

First make sure that the game you are trying to play with assistance is supported by the app and that you have imported that game to your list, then selected it from the list to play it with assistance. Then make sure that the card you want to detect is facing the phone camera and is turned the right way up. The card should be around 10 centimeters (around 4 centimeters) from the phone camera. For blind people it is possible to use stickers on the cards with an easily felt texture on them to help with the correct orientation of cards.

This is not a beta version but a fully working and stable version of the application. As we want to introduce the technology to the blind/sight impaired and the gaming community as soon as possible, this first working version of the application is free to use. In order to continue the development we will eventually need to monetize it as it is both costly and time consuming, but meanwhile please enjoy this version!
